Glowbug Games is made for children, with choices for grown-ups. This policy separates what stays on your iPad from the services that use a network.

Your child’s information

An optional first name, chosen goals, play settings and local play records stay on the iPad. There is no child account and there are no ads. If you choose to export records, you decide where that export goes. Please avoid sending us your child’s personal information when asking for help.

Camera and Star Photo

Camera access is limited to features a grown-up enables or opens. An optional Star Photo is saved locally on the iPad. Camera frames used by Look Lab and experimental Eye Attention are not saved as photos or videos. Eye Attention is off by default. You can change camera permission in the iPad’s Settings.

Purchases and paywalls

Purchases go through Apple using the iPad’s built-in purchase system. We do not receive your card details. The app contains no third-party SDKs, analytics or advertising. The app sends nothing off the iPad except the App Store purchase itself. If you choose to export local play records, you decide where they go. This website and email signup

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. If a grown-up signs up for updates, we store their email address, signup time and browser user-agent in Cloudflare KV. We use the email for Glowbug launch news and game updates. Signup does not send a message immediately. We keep signup information until you ask us to remove it or we stop using the list.

Cloudflare receives ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, to serve and protect the website. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to deliver them. We do not add advertising trackers or website analytics. Your choices

In the grown-up corner, you can turn off play records, change the name and goals, manage Star Photo, export records, or delete local app data. Deleting app data does not cancel an Apple subscription or delete an email signup. Manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
